The Montblanc Masters of Art Collection pays tribute to their eternal contribution to the pursuit of perfection in art – a pursuit that Montblanc has always fostered and celebrated. Pierre-Auguste Renoir is one of the most prominent forerunners of modernism, whose sun-drenched paintings laid the foundation for an entire movement: Impressionism. Respectfully honouring the pioneering oeuvre of this illustrious French Impressionist, Montblanc has created the Masters of Art Homage to Pierre-Auguste Renoir Limited Edition 4810. As if to immortalise Renoir’s presence, the edition is crafted from olive wood and daubed with paint as if it had been plucked directly from the artist’s hand. The painter himself would probably have chosen no other wood, as he loved the old olive trees in his garden in the south of France, to which he dedicated so many paintings. Renoir captured fleeting moments and translated them onto canvas using vibrant colours and rapid brushstrokes. An intriguing detail is the gold-coated clip in the form of two paintbrushes, like those Renoir used to render both the finest details and the broadest surfaces of his masterpieces. The top of the cap is decorated with a precious ultramarine blue resin surrounding the Montblanc emblem. The ring on the top of the cap bears the engraving 1874, the year of the first exhibition of this new generation of artists, the Impressionists. 1874 thus marks the birth of Impressionism as a movement in its own right. The delicate folding fan with two tassels adorning the handcrafted Au 750 solid gold nib is a tribute to the significance of the fan, an accessory that appears in many of Renoir’s works, especially in many of his insightful portraits of women. In homage to the painter's skill, a delicate Ag 925 sterling silver tip is integrated into the gold-coated cone, allowing for silverpoint sketching.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan class=\"value\"\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Capodagli 1937","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":59226599031118,"sku":"131981","price":4200.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1016\/2710\/1518\/files\/131981.jpg?v=1774109620","url":"https:\/\/vistora.it\/en\/products\/montblanc-stilografica-masters-of-art-homage-to-pierre-auguste-renoir-limited-edition-4810-punta-m-131981","provider":"Vistora","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
